Salesforce Admins, Your Summer ’25 Release Checklist Starts Here
Salesforce drops major updates packed with new features, automations, and performance enhancements three times a year. The question is: Will you be ready on Day One?
At Equals 11, we help our clients do more than just keep up. We help them prepare, test, and implement updates in a way that actually drives ROI. Here’s your quick-start guide to navigating the Summer ’25 release like a pro.
Key Dates You Can’t Afford to Miss
April 23 – Release Notes Drop
Go straight to the Salesforce Release Notes and search by product to see what’s changing in your org. Join the Trailblazer Community to compare notes, share insights, and stay in the loop.
By May 8 – Refresh Your Sandbox (Before 5 PM PT)
Want early access in your own environment? Refresh your sandbox before May 8 to opt into the preview.
Use the Salesforce Sandbox Preview Guide to confirm your sandbox strategy.
Pro Tip: Test new features in sandbox now, before they hit production—especially if you’re customizing or integrating.
May 9 – Sandbox Preview Begins
Preview functionality in your own workflows, assess performance, and prep your team for go-live. While you're there, don’t forget to check Release Updates in Setup to see what needs action.
June 2 – Release Readiness LIVE
Salesforce PMs go live with demos, Q&As, and roadmap teasers. Block your calendar—you’ll get feature context you can’t find in the release notes.
When Does Summer ’25 Actually Go Live?
Mark your org’s upgrade dates:
May 16
June 6
June 13
Check the Maintenance Calendar and match your instance (e.g., NA## or EMEA##) for the exact release window.
